CHALLENGE

The Mandate: Design a multi-day in-person learning experience to stretch and engage highly technical learners, challenge their thinking, build leadership capability, and feel fundamentally different from previous passive corporate training

The Scale: Create a design to support both large-scale, all-hands sessions for up to 800 TDPs and breakout rooms for cohorts of up to 40 TDPs while ensuring consistent learning outcomes, energy, and impact for each cohort

The Stakes: Manage high stakeholder expectations for my design approach and client interactions, shaped by their prior experience with other external training providers

The Pivot: Redesign the entire successful, two-year-old in-person curriculum into a fully virtual format due to pandemic restrictions
SOLUTION
I designed, developed, and lead-facilitated a highly interactive 5-day ILT program for 800 participants across 20 cohorts. I included discovery-based experiential activities, insightful a-ha moments debrief discussions, and application practice to push beyond their comfort zone.
I developed and facilitated Train-the-Trainer sessions for 20 cohort facilitators and coached them to encourage participation, probe thinking, and thoughtfully challenge learners.
When COVID disrupted in-person delivery, I redesigned the program into a 3-day virtual instructor-led experience without sacrificing engagement and impact.

Selected to deliver the program for a second year based on top results compared to other training providers

Successfully transitioned the program from ILT to VILT while preserving strong learner engagement and on-the-job application
