CHALLENGE

• The Mandate: Create engaging learning that builds awareness and understanding of the organization's newly redesigned leadership competency model across 3 career levels
   

• The Complexity: Explain abstract competency concepts in a fun, memorable way that learners can easily appreciate and apply in their day-to-day work
   

• The Timeline: Deliver 4 learning modules in just 2 weeks to support the organization's leadership competency launch without compromising quality

SOLUTION

To establish a common foundation, I developed a 90-minute VILT course for all employees that explained the purpose of the competencies, why they mattered, and how they supported career development.

I designed and developed 3 role-specific Articulate Rise eLearning modules for individual contributors, mid-level leaders, and senior-level leaders. Each module translated the competency framework into practical, role-specific expectations through engaging visuals, audio narration, and realistic scenarios that helped learners to both identify and determine the appropriate competencies in different situations.

To reinforce learning beyond the courses, I proposed and developed a Leader Discussion Guide to equip leaders with conversation prompts to help their teams understand, discuss, and demonstrate the competencies in their day-to-day work.
